We are offering frozen cider apple juice pails! This pail is comprised of juice from heirloom apples that were specifically grown for making hard cider.

Expected Flavors

Golden apple, ripe pear, quince, honey and warm baking spice, with hints of toasted almond and a gently earthy finish.

What to Expect

The 2026 fruit has not yet been harvested and pressed, but this later-ripening blend is expected to arrive in October, giving the apples a longer hang time to develop richness, concentration and aromatic complexity.

Compared with the bright, sharply acidic Wickson Crab Apple Blend, the Russet Blend should be rounder and more textured, with softer acidity, gentle tannins and deeper orchard-fruit character. Expect a cider with richness and structure that can stand beautifully on its own or add body and complexity to a blend.

Cider apples have elevated levels levels of tannin, acid, and sugar compared to grocery store apples and juice. So just like wine made from grocery store grapes is mediocre, cider made from grocery store apples or Motts juice is just not very good.
