BV 2021 Field Blend Columbia Gorge Frozen Grape Must Brehm Vineyards
Wine Grapes Direct is proud to offer pails from Brehm Vineyards. Peter Brehm has over 40 years experience selecting and freezing premium grapes for producing fine wines.
Each pail includes five gal. of grape must (juice, skins, seeds)
White Salmon Vineyard, Columbia Gorge AVA, Washington
Brix: 23.6, pH: 3.27 , TA: 6.1g/L , Malic: 2.16 g/L, Yan: 88
Located in the southwest section of White Salmon Vineyard, within the San Crispin Field, this distinctive Field Blend comes from two rocky, character-rich acres. The vines—Syrah, Malbec, Pinot Noir, Blaufränkisch, and Chardonnay—are tightly planted in volcanic soils and are entirely hand-tended and harvested.
Grown just one mile from the Oregon border on the cooler edge of the Columbia Gorge AVA, this site produces grapes with rich, chewy textures, layered complexity, and structured tannins. The blend is led by Syrah and Malbec, supported by Pinot Noir, with smaller contributions from Blaufränkisch and Chardonnay adding nuance and lift.
White Salmon Vineyard, formerly a pear orchard, now spans 20 acres dedicated to premium wine grapes. While Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are the primary focus, the site also supports exceptional Malbec, Syrah, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyard was selected specifically for its ideal climate and soil composition, both key to producing high-quality fruit.
Situated within the original footprint of the Columbia Gorge AVA, the vineyard benefits from a cool climate and diverse soils shaped by ancient volcanic activity. With at least three distinct soil types and carefully selected clones, the site offers a unique terroir capable of producing truly world-class grapes.
