Napa Valley, K. Nicoll Vineyard

Harvested 10/6/2014                      Brix: 24.8, pH: 4.15, TA: .32

This 12 year old vineyard consists soley of Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 7 planted on St. George rootstock. The steep hillside planting lies on a 25% grade and forms the base of Mt. Veeder. The area is renowned for having the longest growing season and lowest yields in all of Napa. Shallow volcanic soils, persistent winds and 35 degrees or more daily temperature swings produce wines that have firm tannin structure, dense fruit flavors, and a distinct minerality typical of this growing area.
