Clone 13 on Rootstock 3309

Harvested 10/8/2012                        Brix: 24.8, pH: 3.9, TA: .55

This ultra premium Pinot Noir is located in the part of Sonoma that qualifies it as being in the Sonoma Coast, Sonoma Valley, and Carneros AVA’s. It is Pinot Noir clone 13 planted on rootsock 3309. This is my fourth year buying Pinot from this block and the first year we’ve been able to buy enough to pass on the opportunity to other home winemakers. This is top level Pinot Noir, and in the past it has been shared with the likes of Pinot celebrities Tor and Pali. The 2012 season is looking to be the best in recent memory, and I’m very excited about the potential of the Pinot this year. The vines are owned and managed by Price Family Vineyards, the same company that owns and manages the nearby Durell Vineyard.
